How to use this word search
All eight directions, including backwards. Circle each complete word and cross it off the list. Letters may belong to more than one word.
Sixteen words and reversed paths make this a slower search. Look for a distinctive starting letter, check all possible directions, and keep overlapping circles light. WOODPECKER, HEDGEHOG and MUSHROOM require enough room to follow their full spelling.
After the activity
Group the words into animals, plants or fungi, and features of a walk. A solver can describe a woodland scene using three finds rather than treating completion as a timed task.
