How to use this word search
Across and down, forwards only. Circle each complete word and cross it off the list. Letters may belong to more than one word.
Read the picnic list together and choose a snack to find first. CHEESE and WATER share letters with other words, so follow the entire spelling before crossing anything off. The short grid makes it practical to pause and return later.
After the activity
Plan an imaginary picnic using three words from the list. Ask the solver to name something they would add; that new list can become a custom puzzle in the generator.
Print a clear copy
Choose US Letter for 8.5 × 11-inch paper, or A4 for 210 × 297 mm paper. Both editions contain the same activity and matching answers. Use portrait orientation and actual size. Page 1 is the activity; keep page 2 aside for checking. Print one sample before making classroom copies.
