How to use this word search
Across and down, forwards only. Circle each complete word and cross it off the list. Letters may belong to more than one word.
The eight-word list includes PUMPKIN, GHOST and SPIDER. All paths are forwards across or down, so a reader can concentrate on matching the spelling. Read unfamiliar Halloween vocabulary before searching and offer a starting row when help is wanted.
After the activity
Use the page at a gathering that welcomes a Halloween theme. Draw a pumpkin or choose a costume word for a short story; participation can stay optional.
