How to use this word search
Across, down and diagonally, forwards only. Circle each complete word and cross it off the list. Letters may belong to more than one word.
Twelve words and forward diagonals make this a medium Thanksgiving activity. Read the longer terms aloud before searching. Offer a row hint from the answer key when needed, then close the key so the next find stays independent.
After the activity
Choose a word from the list to discuss with a partner. At a family table, let people stop after a few finds and return later rather than turning the page into a race.
Print a clear copy
Choose US Letter for 8.5 × 11-inch paper, or A4 for 210 × 297 mm paper. Both editions contain the same activity and matching answers. Use portrait orientation and actual size. Page 1 is the activity; keep page 2 aside for checking. Print one sample before making classroom copies.
