How to use this crossword
Solve each clue. Write one letter per white square.
Begin with a weather or outdoor word you know. The numbered squares indicate where each across or down answer starts. Each crossing must contain the same letter for both answers; check a mismatch before filling more squares.
After the activity
Describe a short walk using three of the answers. The woodland word search gives confident readers a longer letter-finding activity about an outdoor setting.
Print a clear copy
